Land is an Appreciating Asset - one that you can enjoy while it grows in value!
Our retirement accounts are controlled by Wall Street - not us - and not our employers. Logging into my 401(k) retirement account is always a mystery. How much will be there this month? Did it go up - Did it go down? Who knows? And when it does go up or down - who knows why? Nobody does. Period.
In any given Wall Street "event" that causes the markets to rise or fall, give me 5 minutes and I will find you 20 articles with 20 different points of view and explanations for "why". The bottom line is - nobody knows. And nobody can control it.
On the other hand, history shows that inflation over time is guaranteed. If you invest in assets that rise in value as inflation does its job - your investments (and net worth) will increase over time.
We believe the best APPRECIATING asset to invest in is VACANT LAND. There are so many wonderful quotes about why vacant land is a great investment, but I think my favorite is...

In addition to the financial side of Land Investing, there is the human side as well. Life is short - ENJOY IT. In our opinion, this is more important than the financial aspect. Our family absolutely loves the vacant land that we bought just outside of our home town. We use it regularly. In the summer and fall season, we are out there every day. We run our dogs on it. We ride dirtbikes on it. We have campfires and host parties on it. We kick back and look at the stars without the light pollution of the city. And sometimes it's nice to just go out there by myself - and decompress... listening to the birds. The crickets. The wind.
Our property has become my "Fortress of Solitude". When it's time to get away - when you need a recharge - there's nothing else like vacant property that you own. Somehow it's different than just strolling through the county park. When you own it - it's better. You won't bump into anyone else, and there's just a different kind of satisfaction knowing that the land you are standing on is yours.

A Hedge against INFLATION
Inflation is here.
It's not coming... it's already here! And it's forecasted to continue for the foreseeable future. If you have cash sitting in the bank, every day is a day that your money looses value. In other words - $100 cash will not buy you the same amount of goods that it did 10 years ago. On the other hand, if you invest in Appreciating Real Assets - your assets increase in value as inflation continues.
For example - my family and I bought 9.5 acres in 2013. It was our dream to build an off-grid home on it, but we couldn't afford to build right away. Since we purchased the land, we've been enjoying it every week!!! It brings true joy and happiness to our family.
and... it's worth SUBSTANTIALLY MORE than what we paid for it.
